Fencing (Sport Fencing)
What is Fencing?
Modern fencing evolved from the dueling traditions of Europe, particularly France and Italy, into a regulated sport. Since the first modern Olympics in 1896, fencing has been one of the original Olympic disciplines.
It uses three weapons: foil, épée, and sabre, each with its own rules and style. Fencing emphasizes speed, strategy, and precision, making it a highly athletic sport.
