What is Kobudo?
Okinawan Kobudo is the traditional martial art of weapons training from Okinawa, Japan. It developed alongside Karate and focuses on everyday tools adapted into weapons, such as the bo (staff), nunchaku, sai, tonfa, kama (sickle).
Originally used by Okinawan peasants under weapon bans, Kobudo became a system of practical and creative self-defense. Today it is often practiced alongside Karate.
