What is Nunchaku(-do)?
Nunchaku(-do) is the modern martial art based on the nunchaku, a traditional Okinawan weapon made of two sticks connected by a chain or cord. While historically part of Okinawan Kobudo, the modern sport Nunchaku-do was formalized in Europe in the 1980s, especially in the Netherlands.
It includes kata, freestyle, and sparring with foam-padded nunchaku for safety.
